I haven't even seen A Might Heart yet, although it's high on my list, and it's not like I've been following the story especially closely, but the news of Alan Johnston's release today really touched and cheered me like no news story has in quite a while. Not everything leads directly and inevitably to a worst-case scenario, much to the chagrin of the American press.
